Tallytide privacy
Last updated: 7 October 2026
Tallytide is a maths app for children aged 6 to 12. We built it so that a child’s information stays with the family.
What we collect
Nothing about your child. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, no ads and no tracking or analytics.
What stays on your device
Your child’s first name, age, interests, answers, stars and progress are saved only on the device and browser where Tallytide is used. They are never sent to us or to anyone else. The grown-up code is saved there too, scrambled so it can’t be read.
Deleting Tallytide from the Home Screen, or clearing the browser’s website data, deletes this information. Grown-ups can also reset it in Grown-ups → Settings.
Reviews
If a grown-up chooses to send a review from the Grown-ups area, we receive by email: the star rating, the words written, the child’s age, which island they are on, the kind of device, and the grown-up’s email address only if they type it in. Never the child’s name. Reviews are delivered to us through Web3Forms, an email form service. We use them only to improve Tallytide and to reply when asked.
Read aloud
The read-aloud voice is your device’s own built-in voice.
Sharing
Progress reports and family invite codes are only shared if a grown-up chooses to share them. Invite codes contain no personal information.
Changes
If this ever changes, for example when we add accounts so progress can move between devices, we will update this page and ask grown-ups first.
